Melansir MK Sports, JTBC menjelaskan bahwa karakter, daerah dan nama tempat yang muncul dalam drama tersebut adalah setting virtual/fiksi.

“Adegan tersebut tidak menggambarkannya sebagai seorang pangeran dari negara tertentu," ujar perwakilan JTBC.

Tim produksi King The Land juga menjelaskan dalam hal ini mereka tidak bermaksud menunjuk negara tertentu.

Sementara itu, saat ini drakor King the Land masih tayang.
